NCAA National Champion brings new talent to girls’ lacrosse program
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, July 21, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — True Lacrosse Minnesota is pleased to welcome Carly Fedorowski to the full-time staff as the new director of the girls’ program.
“When I started to search for a new Director, one of my major focuses was to find someone that played and coached at the highest level. I wanted someone that had personal experiences that they could lean on from discovering the sport, learning the game, training/practicing, going through the recruiting process and ultimately having proven success as a player and a leader,” explained Dan Forsyth, True Minnesota Executive Director. “Although it was a national search, I also wanted to find someone that had a connection to Minnesota and would be committed to this program for years to come. We wanted someone who can relate to our players in all aspects and at all levels. A former NCAA National Champion, Fedorowski checks all those boxes. I am excited and proud to have her as our next True MN Girls Director.”
Fedorowski comes to True after a highly successful collegiate playing career. Since its founding in 2008, True Lacrosse has grown to host programs in over 18 states, training and developing girls and boys across the country and helping hundreds of players continue their careers in college.
Before True Lacrosse, Fedorowski was the director of the Minnesota Loons Girls Program. She also coaches at Stillwater High School in Minnesota. She earned a master’s degree in business administration in 2021 when she graduated from Lindenwood University. Fedorowski was a two-time captain of the Lindenwood women’s lacrosse team. She led her team to win the NCAA national championship in 2021. She was a three-time NCAA All-American and appeared in 85 games, more than any player to do so at Lindenwood; she started in 79 of those games. Additionally, Fedorowski holds the record at Lindenwood for caused turnovers and ground balls and ranks third in school history in goals (147) and fourth in points (218).
A native of Stillwater, MN, Fedorowski attended Stillwater Area High School, where she was an All American and a Ms. Lacrosse Finalist, and East Metro Player of the Year (2016). In addition to lacrosse, Fedorowski also played hockey and soccer.
Fedorowski is eager to begin working with the True Minnesota Girls families. “I am excited and grateful for this opportunity here with the True Family,” she said. “From my own personal playing and coaching experience, I will bring an elite level of knowledge to the program. I am a competitor on and off the field and will continue to add to this winning culture here with True Lacrosse. I am confident in my ability to have an impact on my athletes as players, but also as people in helping shape them towards a successful future. I am ready to serve as the new girls director and rep out the green!”
