Chevo wins Task Order for FireNet Business Support Services at DOI, through our DOI IT Advisory and Business Services BPA, in support of the OCIO.

ROCKVILLE, MD, July 21, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Chevo Consulting, LLC (Chevo) is proud to announce the award of a prime Task Order for FireNet Business Support Services at the Department of the Interior (DOI), through our prime position supporting the DOI IT Advisory and Business Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), which supports the Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This is the second Task Order Chevo has won under this BPA; it is a 5-year Task Order, valued at nearly $7 Million.

The DOI Office of Wildland Fire (OWF) coordinates the DOI Wildland Fire program with other federal [principally the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service (FS)] and non-federal partners, such as the National Association of State Foresters (NASF), as well as state and local fire managers via the United States Fire Administration (USFA) on Wildland Fire programs, policies, budgets, and information technology enterprise systems, and decision support tools. FireNet is an interagency communication and collaboration environment that is used by federal and non-federal operators across the spectrum for wildland fire operations.

Chevo is providing the DOI FireNet program professional IT services and critical project management support for the FireNet environment to achieve its mission of providing an efficient, effective, cloud-based communication and collaboration platform for interagency community. We will assist the DOI OWF in providing direction and oversight for planning, daily operations, administration, change management control, communications, and standardization initiatives for the FireNet program. The core tasks Chevo will perform include Project Management Support, Customer Relationship Management and Helpdesk Support, Strategic Communications Support, Subject Matter Expertise, and Administrative Support.

Of this recent win Zaina Sahady, CEO of Chevo, says, “Chevo is honored to be awarded a second Task Order under the DOI IT Advisory and Business Services BPA. This increases our work at DOI and supplements our other emergency management work at DHS (FEMA, CISA, and USCG). We are proud to be serving our country in helping to protect its natural resources.”
